Toolsworkshop references
Two references built for our own work in the workshop. They turned out to be useful, so they are open to everyone. No ads, no login, no data collected.

Threads under control
You are holding a bolt or a fitting and do not know the thread. Enter the designation or just measure diameter and pitch. The app tells you what it is, the tap drill size, the spanner and the tightening torque.
Metric coarse and fine, pipe G, Rc and R, NPT, imperial UNC, UNF and BSW, trapezoidal, buttress, round, Edison, Panzergewinde. Plus thread gauges, hydraulic fittings JIC, ORFS and DIN 2353, tolerances, tap types and a torque calculator to VDI 2230.

Materials at hand
Which alloy is EN AW-5754 and how do you weld it. What is the difference between 304 and 316. Which filler rod to use. The reference gives composition, mechanical properties by temper, weldability with recommended fillers, machinability, corrosion resistance and typical use.
Search by any designation: EN, DIN, AISI, W.Nr, JUS and trade names. Plus hard and soft solders, the galvanic series and TIG settings.
Both tools came from the same need: you need the data when you are standing at the machine, not when you are sitting at a computer. They work on a phone even without signal. Add them to your home screen and they open like apps.
